Congratulations to the STC Video Contest Winners!

The winner—with a grand total of 178 votes—was How BHS Stays Healthy from Berlin High School in Berlin, CT, which will receive a $500 grand prize and a $1000 donation to the winner’s school to support physical activity and nutrition programs. The two runners up were Lauralton Hall in Milford, Connecticut, and Thomas A. Edison High School in Alexandria, Virginia. The runners up will each receive a $350 cash prize and a $500 donation to their schools.

Brainstorming as a school
Sometimes a group of 6 or 8 students can have hard time deciding how to make their school a healthier place. While surveys, interviews, and focus groups can all help, one school in Kansas decided to bring their whole student body together for two Students Taking Charge forums.
