Thinking outside the school day!

West Boylston High School students (West Boylston, MA) realized that, when it came to physical activity and physical education, the school day was a no go.  Although the principal was sympathetic, he was not going to add physical activity during school hours.  Instead of fighting the administration, they worked with school leaders to change the district's after-school policy to support non-competitive physical activity opportunities after-school for all students.  While they still plan to advocate for policy changes around PE as a long-term goal, they have achieved a short-term goal to make physical activity programming available for themselves and their friends.
